The Wessex League season got underway yesterday with Cowes Sports enjoying a profitable away day to Amesbury to head the league table for 72 hours at least until the rest of the teams begin their season.
Hamworthy have seen a few movements in and out from the end of the last truncated season with a great victory of course in the Wessex League Cup.

Billy Walker (returning from Christchurch) already has 131 Wessex League appearances for the Hammers and is indeed 2nd in the Club's Wessex League appearance list just 2 behind Declan Randall.

The Hammers open this 2021/22 season with a "Double Header" against Brockenhurst, first on Tuesday in the Wessex League and then again on Saturday in the FA Cup, both away!!
Hamworthy have made 14 trips to the New Forest in the Wessex League and it hasn't been the happiest of hunting grounds so far. It took 6 attempts to register a league victory which came on 20th February 2010 and a 3-1 win. This started a run of 3 wins on the bounce but since then, the Hammers have only come home with 3 points once in the last 6 matches with the last 2 encounters ending as draws. Tim Sills will be looking to improve on that record on Tuesday night.
