We are disappointed to announce that our home fixtures are now suspended until the Specsavers County Ground is signed off by Health & Safety with the Dorset County Football Association.
As you will be aware the club is a tenant at the ground and subject to the conditions in place from the DCFA. The DCFA have an issue with one of the floodlights that could potentially put players at risk, if a floodlight is hit during the action. The DCFA are in the process of fixing the problem. However we have been informed this could take approximately three weeks to resolve. With this in mind we have been working with the Wessex League to ensure we can reverse or rearrange some of our fixtures to ensure that we do not fall behind in the league. The league have helped us in the situation and provided the following updates to the fixture list.
Tuesday 10 - (a) Romsey (Cup) Saturday 14th -(a) Shaftesbury (lg) Saturday 21st (a) Alresford (lg) Saturday 28th (h) - Hordean* (lg) (*subject to ground approval)
We understand this is frustrating to our fans and oppositions however we hope that everyone realises the club is doing everything we can to resolve the situation.
